What to eat after and before a dance class?

Healthy eating before and after a dance class! 


 Just like any type of exercise you need to eat healthy before and after to keep the energy going.
Dancing is a great form of exercise and eating a healthy snack before and after can help with keeping the energy going, helps with muscle soreness, and cramping up during the class. Not only Dancers are encouraged to eat healthy but also the teachers/instructors teaching dance! 

 What To eat BEFORE Dance Classes!

  1. Protein: Provides energy needed to be active in Dance Class. Small amounts of fish, meats, beqans, yogurt, nuts.
  2. Fruit & veggies: Eating fruit & veggies before is a light full-filing healthy snack. If you're not a big fan of eating veggies and fruits, you can always makes a yummy healthy juice, or mix with dairy for more energy
  3. Whole Grains: This is a great way to fuel your body for a longer period of time.
  4. Water: Good ol' water helps with dehydration, keeping the energy going and feeling fresh
  5. Potassium: Dark leavy greens, yogurt and bananas help with cramping during class and muscle sourness
What to eat AFTER Dance Classes!
  1.  Water: Water is a very healthy substance everyone should drink, especially after exercising, keeping you feeling fresh after class when your sweating and helps with soreness of the busy.
  2. Potassium: A lot of Foods and Drink that have a lot of potassium helps with cramping (raising, bananas, yogurt, green veggies) 
  3. Protein: Helps with body fuel after a hard and fun day at dance and building muscle (Cheese, nuts, beans)
